Week 2

So whats up? I dont think I can send more than one picture at a time so, here is the one picture I thought you guys would appreciate...
Mission life is good, I really like it here, the days are flying by now. The language learning is hard, but rewarding, my companion and I get along really well, and I'm getting used to the food haha. So how was Idaho? Good thing you got my first email! So I'm having a good time here at the MTC! So I got this ring that has my mission on the outside of it and Elder Clark in the inside, there is a lady who sits outside the MTC every P-day, and she takes your order for what kind of ring you want, and then she custom makes it for you, its pretty cool! It was 400 pisos, which is a little less than ten dollars in America.

So, about mom cleaning out my room, don't throw away my stuff! If Dallin grows into any of the clothes I have, he can have them, but don't get rid of them please! I wish I could send more photos, but you can only send like two at a time. So my companion is pretty awesome, we get along well! I haven't met my mission president. I heard he was at the MTC like the week before I got here, but I probably wont meet him until I get to the mission field.

Anyways, I really like it here, I'm Progressing in the language, but whenever I talk with a native speaker, I feel like the biggest idiot ever. Its definitely not easy! Mahirap ang Tagalog. I have been working really hard though, I study extra everyday, and I know a lot of words for only being here for two weeks! We learn really fast here! In my district there is a kid from Samoa, one from Vanuatu, my companion from New Zealand, and three Americans. The girls in my district are from New Zealand, Samoa, and somewhere else, I don't know where. So it was hard to get used to their accents, but I can understand them fine now.

So later I'll send some more pictures of the city, I have pictures of people sleeping on the side walk, and the shacks that they live in! The city is pretty cool though! its so different than America, and no, I haven't been to a McDonalds. We can only go to one grocery store, and the distribution center which is within the walls of the MTC, and its pretty low on everything but Garments. We also went to the temple today! Its a very small temple!! Today is the only day we can go because it closes for the rest of this month.

We teach "Investigators" here and it is really hard because they don't speak very much English to us, but in reality, everybody here speaks English. Another thing that's cool about this place is that everything is cheaper! It's awesome! So some funny stories about this week is that I accidentally told one of my investigators we were from Ang Iglesia ni Jesucristo, which is a church that doesn't like us here... that was embarrassing, and I also gave the wrong bible to someone to read, it was written in Cebuano, not Tagalog hahaha im so dumb! So anyways I love you guys!

Mahal kita.
